About

Ricardo Adrian Lopez Gutierrez is a Mexican architect and interactive designer working in the intersection of music, media, and design. He has an interest in musical performance, audiovisual performance, architecture, interactive design, and new media.

Originally trained as an architect, he has 4 years of professional experience in architectural design working in LBR&A; participating in multiple design competitions, producing architectural animations, and overseeing the design and development of multiple residential projects.

Curious to explore emerging technologies and bring his passion for media and music into his practice, he then pursued studies in interactive design at the Interactive Architecture Lab, UCL.

His most recent work has focused on audiovisual artwork. Synchronizing animations, interactive media, and installations to the volume, tempo, and frequency of sound.

Driven by an ever-growing obsession for music, Ricardo aims to utilize his background in design, his curiosity in media, and technological innovation to bring an unconventional light to the act of performance.
